I'm personal assistant of a Canadian family. They have a ten year old kid and want him to study Spanish considering the importance this language has and will have globally. In fact, he has been studying Spanish for two months now with an Argentinean native speaker and certified teacher in South America. They are all coming back to canada in a some days and are very much interested in their son continuing his Spanish lessons. They are looking for a communicative situational and dynamic approach since they wnat their son to focus on language productivity. All skills are consider important, however, speaking and writing are the most significant ones due to the fact of being the productive skills. all the same, reading and listening are of great importance as well. As he is ten years old, he as every chil, is a kind of sponge, so his parents deem this is the right moment for him. The child is bilingual in English and German, which means he has a real gift for languages. He needs interesting material, practical and situational grammar and several hours a day in a one to one taylor made class. We are thinking of at least three or four hours a day doing different activities considreing his age since children tend to lose concentration if one activity takes more than what is expected to take for a ten year old child.(videos , songs, conversation, reading, composition writing,repor t writing, role plays, games, computer activities, etc). The connection of the language being learn with other school subjects is highly recommended, for example some geography, some simple math, some science, projects in general, etc. If there is a possibility to make him participate in a group class once or twice a week with people of more or less his age (between 9 and 14 years old) could also be a good idea.

1. My proficiency level: beginner.
2. Why I am learning this foreign language: Because I like it, it's very melodious and being a native Spanish speaker I think it should be relatively easy to obtain some fluency.
3 . The areas in which I feel I need particular improvement: speaking and writing. I already possess oral and written comprehension , but my speaking and writing skills are non-existent.
4. How much time I want to dedicate to language lessons: 1-2 hours/week
5. What qualities I am looking for in the lessons or teacher: he/she has to be reliable, patient and pro-active (giving me ideas and advices on how to improve quickly).
