I took 50 hours of Spanish instruction at a language school in Guatemala aprox 3 years ago. I have a basic understanding and can get by (barely) with day to day activities and questions. I am applying for Master's programs in International Relations with a focus on conflict resolution or diplomacy and a second language is not needed but will be beneficial. I am looking for conversationa l Spanish improvement and would like to spend a minimum of 2-3 hours a week and a max of 6 - 8.

I would like to learn to speak and understand spoken and some written Russian. I am going to Russia for business this year and would like to know enough to get by, preferably to make myself understood and to understand what is being spoken to me.
I know no Russian at present.
I graduated from university with a degree in French language and literature with honours.
I have always wanted to learn to speak Russian and would make a very keen student.
I prefer in-person lessons as I learn better aurally, but will make written grammar and reading part of my learning and comprehension .
We have several business contacts with whom I could practice my spoken lanugage once I am proficicnet enough.
I would like to get started right away and am willing to dedicate at least one hour per week to a lesson and more to practice and exercises. (for 6-9 months)

I am a beginner, I took Arabic in high school and remenber some of the bacis but not much. I want to learn for one personal interest and because I want to travel in a couple of years. I would like to have weekly classes with take home work for during the week. In a teach I would like someone who will challange me, and is interested in me learning the language.
