I am interested in learning Urdu at the beginnner level. I would like to learn it so that I can communicate fluently with my future in-laws. In terms of writing, I can read and write Urdu and Arabic script but have problems understanding and making sentences.
To learn this language, I am willing to put aside a maximum of 2 hours a week. I would like a patient tutor who can guide me through speaking properly and politely to my relatives.

Hello, I am interested in learning to speak Portuguese as I have an opportunity to live in Portugal and need to learn to communicate with others. I would be a 'beginner' in terms of learning as I do not speak a word of Portuguese. I would be able to dedicate once a week for lessons although unsure what is standard in terms of lesson lenghth ie:one hour, two hours per week? I'd like to learn to speak relatively fluent Portugese, able to have a conversation with others with ease. I am looking for a teacher who will have patience, professionali sm and an easy going personality. I am dedicated to learning this language and will take lessons seriously. I want to learn Japanes so I can speak to my wife in her language and not always in mine. I have a very basic grasp of the language but have never tried to study in seriously. I once tried in a classroom but I did not think the teacher was good enough and I do not learn well just be lectured to. I want more one on one instruction that allows for more individual learning.
