My proficiency level? hmm i wouldn't know what to rate it. I'd say beginner because my chinese skills are very basic I cannot hold a conversation with it.
I wish to learn cantonese in order to be able to talk with relatives more freely and others of asian descent.
A reas in which i feel needs improvement.. overall everythign sentence structure, pronounciacti on etc.. new words, slang words..
Ho w much time do i wish to dedicate? at least once a week, possibly more.
Qualities i am looking for.. somebody patient, knowledgeable in the language and is capable of attacking the teaching methods in different ways if one way is not working. Current and up to date and fluent in the language but also fluent enough to be able to translate chinese to english and english to chinese.
I have my own vehicle and can travel where needed for lessons.

Hello,
Right now I am looking for someone who could tutor me in Japanese. I am still a beginner, having learned no Japanese as of yet. I would like to learn Japanese because the language and the culture are fascinating, and I think the only way to learn more about Japan is by learning Japanese. Also, my husband and I are hoping to move to Japan after I have finished my schooling. I would love to dedicate as much time to my studies as I could- I am very dedicated to learning Japanese. I would like to have challenging but not impossible lessons and I would like to have a friendly teacher who can point out my mistakes as soon as I make them.

Im a student in St Catharines who would like to continue practicing french. A couple hours a week would be great. I lived in Montreal for a year and have basic conversationa l and understanding ablities. I'm looking for persons offering tutoring or informal conversation exchange (if you wish to practice your english). I would like to atleast be able to keep up my french so I don't loose it now that I have left Quebec! I will pay for formal instruction/p ractice however I am a student so rates would have to be very reasonable.
Je suis etudiant a St Catharines et je voudrais continuer a practiquer/et udier francais ici. J'ai habite Montreal pendant une annee ou j'ai etudie francais un peu deja. Je cherche pour environ 4-10 heures d'instruction par semaine idealment. Je pourrias payer un petit peu pour des lecons mais pas beaucoup. Je peux aussi assister avec anglais en exchange. (Je m'excuse pour mon mal francais.)

I am a rank beginner. I have been to Mexico several times and feel that I would love to be able to communicate more effectively on future trips. I am also contemplating a trip to Guatemala in December or January of this coming winter and would like to feel comfortable in being able to understand what is being said, and in making my needs understood.
My job is such that I currently have 6 months off - until the end of January. So the timing is ideal to dedicate some intensive time to learning a new language. I would like to consider doing daily lessons for an initial period of time and then perhaps back off a bit as I gain some proficiency
