I have never spoken Japanese before but would like to eventually speak it with out any problems. I want to learn Japanese because I eventually want to move to Japan and become a english teacher, and knowing the language would be helpful. I presently speak broken Italian. All of my relatives live in Italy. My parents, who immigrated from Italy, speak Italian to me and I have studied on my own using books and audio guides. I can read and write Italian at a beginner's level. I would like to improve my writing and pronunciation so that I can communicate better with my relatives. I travel to Europe every 2-3 years. I would like to learn from an instructor as textbook studying is limiting. I would like to work with an instructor on a weekly basis, preferably someone who lives near Edmonton (Athabasca is 2 hours North) for live, in person communication . I would prefer an instructor whose native language is italian. My goal is to be able to speak fluently in Italian as if it was my native language.

I think French is a fantastic language. I really want to learn this language as well as to know the culture, history. I have no idea about this language now, but I can speak good English. So using either English or Mandarin to teach me is fine.
