I am a Filipino-Cana dian born and raised in Canada and I would like to become more proficient in speaking and reading Tagalog. My wife has also been learning and we would like to further our understanding of the language. I would consider us beginners.
We are both very busy people and could only devote a couple of hours a week.
We both learn well in a structured enviornment. We are looking for a teacher who is patient and can help us better communicate with our family.

I am a beginner in Japanese language and am a serious student who wants to eventually work in Japan as I really love the country and people.
I know hiragana and katakana fairly well as well as basic vocabulary so I am not a total beginner. ^^
It isn;t easy finding Japanese tutors or even friends in Calgary so I would be very grateful for any help in learning Japanese on a regular basis. I can of course help you learn English as well, and I am willing to pay whatever a tutor thinks is suitable.

Dear Teacher,
I am a beginner in both French and Arabic.
For French, I have the required grade school and highschool level, though this finished almost 15 years ago. and for Arabic, I have been listening to a software program and had begun learning the basics of the written language just over a year ago. (I have not been active in this for about 7 months though.)
I would say that I am still a beginner in both however.
I would like to learn both conversationa l and written in both languages. I travel extensively and have this next year at home, so I would have more time to concentrate on one of these (hopefully both) during this time.
Learni ng these languages are for both career and personal interest reasons.
I would want to meet with you regularly so that I continue to learn on a regular basis. I am an artist and so learn visually and through practice, as well as through repetition.

I have recently become very involved with a particular group of Tibetans from a monastery in India and have started to learn some of their language.
I am hoping to continue my involvement with these people helping them arrange tours etc in Canada, as well as starting up non-profit organisations aimed at further assisting the refugees in the monastery.
While communication up until now has been done in person and through a translator travelling with the Tibetans I feel my proficieny in their language will help me immensely now that contact will be made mainly over the phone and via written communication such as email and letters.
A ny help I can get with learning this language would be greatly appreciated.
I will specify the dialect further however, if it helps I believe they understand and speak Lhasa dialect. There is a more specific name for the region the particular ones I would be communicating with are from.
I will add that info in as I am able to obtain the correct spelling of it in English.
R ight now I am at a very beginner level of learning this language but am VERY eager to continue as soon as possible.
