I looking to learn Danish in order to understand everyday conversation when visiting the country; which occurs on a fairly regular basis.
I am a complete beginner and wish to have one lesson a week for up to 1 1/2 hours.
I really would like to mainly understand the language rather than need to talk the language, although I do understand that to learn a language I would need to practice both.

I am a beginner in Japanese and my native language is English of course. My name is Terri and I'm almost sixteen years old, a student in high school. I want to learn Japanese as I wish to take a gap year after college and also live in the country after or during university (depending on my language proficiency!) .
I know the hiragana alphabet quite well and a few phrases but I don't really know anything else.
I would like weekly lessons and would practice a lot of course! Cost could be sorted out nearer the time or in the first lesson...
I also have a friend who would like to learn with me so any teachers must please be willing to teach us both!

I have not yet started learning the language but want to start asap. I'm learning the language because I want to join the UK foreign office and Pashto would be useful. I want to focus on spoken Pashtu, but would also like to learn the written language. I want to spend at least two hours a week learning the language.
