I'm looking to learn madarin, i'm an absolute beginer but hope to be able to learn up too a standard to be able to hold a conversation. I'm learning it because i hope to go to china for a year or more and it would be very helpful to be able to speak the basics of the language before i go. I'm looking to dedicate one lesson a week to learning, prefernce on tuesdays. Qualities i'm looking for in the teacher are for him/her to be a competant teacher with experience and for them to be easy to get along with, not so miserable and strict.
