I am trying to get back to the roots of my heritage so I can travel and communicate within Sweden more fluently than rudimentary phrases and words. Any help would be appreciated to help me exercise my existing knowledge and to grow from mistakes.
I am beginner at speaking and spelling, but advanced in understanding spoken Swedish. I would like to dedicate 5 hours a week to learning. I hope for a teacher that will be patient but also who has a sense of humor because I make jokes when I mess up. It would be uncomfortable if I had a strict teacher.

I am learning Swedish first because I love the sound of it, but more so because I deeply desire to visit Sweden and all Scandinavia someday and would like to communicate as much as I can in Swedish. I am a beginning learner on Duolingo but I know there is much more to be learned than I will achieve there alone. I am having to jog my memory and go back to grammar lessons in English trying to reason out many problems with Swedish grammar. I would appreciate any and all help. I'm passionate and am able and willing to put in 10 hours a week. All I ask for in an instructor is patience and understanding .

Hi, nice to meet you, and I hope you are doing well! My name's Anthony.
I 'm a recent high school graduate going to college this fall. I'm interested in learning Swedish and have been my whole life, but I never had an opportunity. I've been interested because Swedish culture has always fascinated me. As someone who loves films, writing, reading, and philosophy, I aspire to become a writer, filmmaker, or philosopher, and with Sweden's incredibly amazing film, literature, and art culture and connection to philosophy and history, having the chance to visit Sweden would be a dream come true. To one day visit Sweden through a study abroad program at my school, I would love to try to learn Swedish so that I can further communicate with others I meet there.
Sin ce I'm a beginner, I'm not exactly sure what I should work on. Since I won't be free often to video call or voice call, I likely will work mostly on writing, reading, and grammar first.
I also would make time for lessons at least 30-60 mintues each week and potentially increase it if I become more comfortable or gain more free time.
In terms of qualities in lessons or a teacher, I don't have much! All I ask is that you're kind and a native Swedish speaker.
