I've been able to somewhat understand Dutch my whole life, due to having Dutch parents, but I now finally want to be able to speak it fluently. My Oma's 100th birthday is coming up in July 2020, and it would be great to be able to have a fluent conversation with her in Dutch by the time that rolls around.
I regard myself as a beginner in Dutch in terms of listening and speaking - I have a sound understanding of vocabulary, though I have no idea how to use tenses. I have little to no experience with reading or writing in Dutch.
I would like to become more proficient in Dutch in all areas, though speaking and listening fluently would be my ultimate goal.
I would like to dedicate a few hours a week to learning Dutch - some of this time being self-taught through books. I would like to do practice with a tutor once a week. Potentially more, depending on price.
As I have more knowledge of Dutch language than the average beginner with no prior exposure, I would really appreciate a teacher who can recognise what level I am at, and tailor lessons to suit my needs - without going over basics (that I already know) for too long.
