M y name is Deirdre Harris. I work for a contracting language organization. We have contracts for different languages coming in every week and have to find instructors to teach these classes. Almost any language you can think of. Students vary from beginner to advanced and classes vary from weekly to yearly long classes. You will be paid hourly which is negotiable. My wife and I would like to learn Mandarin jointly. I am developing healthcare management-re lated business opportunities in Shanghai and Beijing. I have visited China twice in the past 18 months. The last visit was last week to Shanghai. We intend to make several more trips over the next year. Our level of proficiency is beginner. We are willing to dedicate 8-10 hrs per week to lessons and practice.
We would like a tutor who is personable, respectful but disciplined and is versed in adult learning styles. The tutor should also be willing to teach using movies, newspapers, books, poems and other cultural approaches in addition to textbooks.
