I am doing a PhD in historical sociology with a focus on trade unions and labour (looking at the Polish Solidarnosc). I need to be able to read/write Polish in order to access some of the historical archives and to understand the documentary evidence.
I do not have any Polish at the moment. I am not looking to be able to speak very well, although a moderate understanding when others speak would be good. Reading and writing is far more important.
I want to learn as fast as possible (25-30 hours per week).
I want a teacher that will assist in developing a vocabulary relevant to my field, and would be flexible enough to design a course that is specifically geared towards rapidly improving my reading abilities.
