hi my name is samantha williams. i want to learn to speak swahili because i think it is a very unique and different language to me and i love it. I know absolutley nothing about the language so im a beginner. lol. i need all the help i can get with the language because im destined to learn it. I am willing to devote as much time as possible to learn this language. the qualities im lookin for in my lessons is that i learn as much as i can in one day and be able to remember it very well and very quickly. and the qualities im looking for in my teacher is that i want he/she to be really nice a patient with me cuz i no it takes some work to learn a whole new language. I want them to be determined along with me to teach me so i can learn the language fluently because i do wish to learn this language very fluenty. i want to learn it like i know english u no wat i mean? so if any one can please teach me i really want to learn i really do appriciate it. bye for now! :)

I am a beginner interested in learning Swahili. I am originally from America but have been living in Germany for 2 and a half years. I speak English fluently and Germany pretty well. I am looking for someone to help me with learning Swahili because I visited Tanzania last year and fell in love. I worked at an orphanage and I want to be able to go back as soon as possible, but this time be able to speak the language and communicate with the locals. I am enrolled in Swahili at the University, but I am looking for someone to help reinforce what I have learned and who I can always ask for help when I have questions.

I am eager to improve my proficiency in kiswahili to the level of fluency. I work in international development and do a fair bit of travelling to Kenya and Rwanda at this time. My hope is to live in East Africa in the near future. At present ninaweza kuongea kiswahili kidogo (na Kikuyu, Kikamba na Kinyarwanda kidogo SANA!) - you see my tenses are limited to the most basic: present, past, future...
I hope for a teacher who will be able to guide me in my further development (and will assist me to learn the further tenses, prepositions, additional verbs and of course a good repetoire of nouns!).
Depending on the cost, I hoped to have lessons once a week with a teacher who can address my learning style: I learn best by seeing the words written first, followed by written and verbal practice exercises.
