Why am I learning foreign languages?
I have an interest in learning languages for an unexplainable reason, other than I know I have a habit of gravitating towards them.
Prof iciency Level:
Beginner Mandarin(work ing knowledge of approximately 600-800 characters)- I am working towards taking the HSK
Basic Japanese
Basic-Int ermediate French (french immersion K-3 and french classes from 4-9)
Other Languages of interest:
Ja panese, German, Spanish, Russian, Afrikaans, and Korean
Are as I feel I need particular improvement on: grammar, writing, conversation, and confidence
How much time do I wish to dedicate to my language lessons: I would like classes to be either once a week for two hours or twice a week for one hour on evenings and weekends.
What qualities am I looking for in my language teacher?
Ide ally, I would love to have a teacher with great experience, patience, easy-going, and organized.
Price Range: $10-12/hr (I`m a poor student)

I want to learn Chinese because I would like to live in China. I have visited the country many times and I am enchanted by the culture and history. I know very little Chinese but would like to be able to communicate with Chinese-speak ers within the next few months.
I am starting a more standard Chinese language class in Athens this week, but would like to supplement this with more lessons or even stop the other class and continue with a private teacher if it feels better. I believe I can dedicate up to 5 hours a week to learning the language.
