I am a Chinese-Canad ian lawyer. I practise in corporate/com mercial law and international business law. I will be pursuing graduate law studies at McGill University this fall. I would like to learn Dutch because my boyfriend is Dutch, and I might be moving in the Netherlands in a near future. So in order for me to be able to get a job there, I need to be fluent in Dutch (or at leats try to).
I am a beginner in learning Dutch. I listened to people speak while I was in Holland last May, but the grammar and the pronounciatio n are so far away from French that it was quite difficult for me to understand anything. I would need to learn everything from the start (like when teaching kids).
I am willing to dedicate up to 6 hours a week to learning Dutch, as I work full time. The lessons would have to be in the evening, as I work during the day.
I am looking for a PATIENT teacher, who knows how to teach and rech to students (not every teacher do), and makes his courses interesting and alive.
