Description |
Hi, I want to learn Thai because I frequent Thailand fairly often. I have studied Beginners, Level 1 and 2 but feel that I need individual training to fill in the gaps and go over what I have already learnt. I would then like to advance on this. I need to advance on my pronounciatio n and listening skills. I think that 2-3 hours is as far as my consentration can stratch with learning thai. I am looking for a teacher that is patient and can teach constructivel y.
Thanks.

Why you are learning your foreign language? - I am born in India but came to Australia at a very young age. I've spoken English my entire life. I would like to learn Hindi, and always wanted to learn but never had the time before due to other studies. I would now like to learn conversationa l Hindi, so I can speak fluently. I am not interested in writing, just conversationa l Hindi.
You r proficiency level - My proficiency level is definitely beginner. In fact, I would say that I would be starting from scratch. I know a few phrases here and there, but no idea to what level.
Are as I need improvement - Conversation and as a result, grammar too.
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessions? - However much time it requires to be able to learn Hindi within a 1-2 year time frame. Please advise how long that would be.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher? - I want them to have proven experience teaching someone with NO Hindi speaking ability, to now speaking fluently in conversation. I have to see this experience and also how long that student took to get there and what their study requirements on a weekly basis were. These would be my basis for selecting a tutor. And something that is affordable too.

'Please discuss using proper sentences' -- wow, this sounds like an exam already!
I 'm fascinated by Russian language and culture. I spent a couple of years at uni studying Russian (a few years ago now!), but unfortunately most of that's now a distant memory. My goal is confidence in the Russian language generally. I don't want to read and analyze Tolstoi, but I would like to be able to write readable correspondenc e and participate in general conversation.
I want to find someone who can help me learn both conversationa l skills and written expression. I have a basic grasp of Russian grammar, but there is *always* more to learn.
My conversation skills are quite weak. Over the course of a year or so, I hope to be able to hold a basic conversation with a native speaker without too much difficulty. Initially, I'd be keen for a one hour lesson per week, perhaps with some additional time for correcting my written work. (Could we do that over email?) I have my old textbook and dictionary from uni days; I would be keen to begin with that.
Alth ough I realize this will be painful at first, I'd prefer it if classes were conducted entirely in Russian... even if that means I end up learning much, much more slowly.
I' m once again a student, studying at Macquarie University. I'd be happy to meet in a cafe, either near the Uni, in the city, or anywhere on the North Shore.

I've also added French to my list. I'm interested in relaxed French conversation, but only if I have time; I'm not too concerned about written French or grammar for the moment.

Description |
My name is Amelia and i am eager to learn the Portuguese language.. My partner is Portuguese and i wish to learn the language to better intergrate with his family, and blossom our relationship, also adding another language to my already multilingual skills will assist in my career development.. I will be a beginner as i have had no previous experience or training in the language and since i do work 2 jobs i would be looking to dedicate approx 2 hours per week to learn the language.. The obvious qualities i am looking for in my lessons are to learn to speak the alnguage and of course understand it at a basic-advance level.. And would ofcourse prefer live training as opposed to online training..
