I am trying to learn Turkish because I am newly married and my wife is Turkish. Her mother and father-in-law speak fluent English, but her Father and mother-in-law do not. I have traveled to Turkey several times and would like to be able to interact with the people and explore the language further.
I have a very, very, basic understanding of the language. I understand some common phrases, greetings and salutations. I feel that I would need to improve on pretty much everything.
I am willing to dedicate Friday - Sunday to learning Turkish. I travel for business Monday - Thursday, so I am only in Chicago on weekends.
I am looking for a teacher who is understanding and willing to walk me through some of the sounds of the language that are not so familiar to me.

I am learning Arabic for career advancement, and I am a beginner. I can read and write Arabic through self-teaching , but I cannot speak or understand the language at all.
I work full time during the week, so I can only meet evenings after 6:30 PM on weekdays. Weekends are open.
All I ask for in an instructor one that demands excellence from students and is passionate about language aquisition.

I am really curious about learning middle eastern languages. I have some arabic experince but it has slipped. Looked a punjabi and want to give it a try. I am wanting to do two times a week, three would be pushing it for my job is very demanding. Looking for either hour of hour and a half sessions.
