I studied Russian language about 15 years ago, but never went beyond the beginner's level. I would like to refresh what I learned, and continue from there. My main interest is in conversation and reading comprehension , especially in literature.
My native language is Spanish. I am also proficient in English and French.
I can dedicate about 10 hours a week to individual classes, during the period of November 2005 through January 2006.

English is my mother tongue and French is the language of my daily
life. I also speak German.
I want to learn to speak Italian, I'm a complete beginner. I learn
langua ges by listening. My primary resource is recorded material. One
way I work with recorded material is to transcribe it, which forces me
listen to it repeatedly. So I need material that bears repetition and
for that, the most important quality is authenticity. Finding
auth entic materials for beginners is not easy. This is the first place
where I need help. Ideally, I'd start work with two or three-minute
recordings of reasonably clear monologue or dialogue. I'd have a go at
transcrib ing them, then I'd email the result to my teacher. Any
question s about the language would be based on my work with a
recording. I'd need the recordings in MP3 format.
