I am learning Italian because my grandmother's family is from a small town in Calabria and little English is spoken there. It is difficult to communicate with my cousins and friends when I visit.
I am a beginner. I have had several years of Spanish so I understand the Italian language and many of the words are similar. So, after 2 weeks in Italy I begin to undertand much of what is said to me. I just cannot speak.
I could dedicate 1 lesson a week.
I would like to find a native Italian speaker, and someone with patience and someone to help with both grammar and conversation.
I used to be a teacher myself.
