I am interested in learning Hindi for a national fellowship that I am applying for. Although it is not guaranteed that I will receive the fellowship, I still feel as though it is an interesting language to learn. I am also a psychology major who plans on going to graduate school for multicultural studies.
I am a beginner with no contact with the language minus a few Wikipedia visits. Therefore I would need help with all areas of the language (especially grammer, reading, writing, etc.)
I could dedicate up to 5 hours a week and am looking for a tutor who is on the relatively cheap side being a college student ($20-25/hour) .
I am looking for a teacher who is very hands on and patient. Someone who has a unique yet effective style of teaching who is also fun. Someone local (Baltimore) obviously and who is not too far from my campus (b/c I do not have a car). As far as the lessons, it would be helpful to learn the basics but especially all the cultural things that I would really use and need to know should I be accepted to the fellowship program and go to India.

Hello,
I wanted to learn Spanish because I'm planning on returning to college and I need to fulfill a foreign language requirement. Once I re-eneter college, I want to have an advanced level of proficiency so the course work would be easier for me. I'd also like to teach English in Latin America, so I want to be able to communicate easily with people in Spanish speaking countries.
I had a quarter of Spanish in junior high school, so I'd consider myself a beginner.
I need to work on grammar and pronunciation .
I don't know how much time would be needed to reach an advanced level of proficiency. I'd like a recommendatio n from an instructor.
