I have no proficiency in Thai. I am going to Thailand next spring to study at a Christian university in Chiang Mai and would like to get a head start on the basics, so that I will have a better experience. I am home this summer in thePhiladelph ia area and would like to spend 2 or 3 times a week learning Thai. Just to understand the alphabet and speak pleasantly on a basic level is what I would hope for.

I have been studying thai for 10 months. 7 months was under a thai teacher who recently moved from the area. There may be others that will want to study as a group. We are looking for patience in a potential teacher for myself and someone who can be of great help in helping me to understand sentence structure. I would like one lesson a week for 1-2 hours. I try to study an hour or more a day.
