I took 2 years of Chinese in college and live in Shanghai now. I want to increase my writing and reading ability. Since I work full time, I only have 2 hours at night or half days on weekends for lessons. I am hoping to find a teacher who is very efficient with lesson plans and experienced in teaching. Also, I am looking for a Cantonese teacher as well, since I have some Cantonese blood and think the language is quite fun. Thanks!

I have been studying pu tong hua for 1 yr, my knowledge is very basic, still not good, i want to focus on conversation, i write little pin yin. I still dont want to learn han zi, only later on. I am learning pu tong hua just because i find it interesting and i like chinese people, so this will help me understand more the culture. Also i look forward in the future to make business with china (import/expor t). For now i am just looking to speak basic chinese, to deal with everyday life and fun. I speak english and spanish.
I want to go Honk Kong or Shanghai to learn pu tong hua for one week private lesson, probably only half of the day day or at least 2 or 3 hrs a day. Also i will be visiting the city during my free time. I plan on october 2009, or if not possible starting of 2010.
I have been to china before.

I am looking for a well qualified Mandarin Chinese language tutor, to teach me to both speak and write Chinese (Speaking is the most important) as quickly as possible. I already have some very basic understanding and can count numbers, Days and time with relative ease, but really want to be able to correctly understand and converse on a daily basis, both personally and proffesionall y. Beginer in mandarin. I am learning this language for my work and to converse easily with peers and workers in the factory.
I need further development in my grammer and conversation and also to formulate technical terms in mandarin.
I travel extensively out of Hong Qiao Shanghai and can only be available in the vening via chat or email. Weekends I am free on Saturday mornings and also sunday mornings.
I can dedicate about 1 hour daily by chat/email/sk ype and also 4 hours on saturdays and 3 hours on sundays in the mornings.
I am interested in the technical and business mandarin terminologies and conversation styles
I have a daughter in Year 8 who also will join me to learn mandarin in the weekends only.
