I am looking for a native Chinese speaker or language student with good pronunciation who would like to chat in Chinese to practice speaking skills. I had several Chinese friends where I went to college who enjoyed talking with students learning their language and am looking for something similar back in the Cincinnati area. I have taken about 15 college credits of Chinese and try to practice it with everyone I can. I am fine studying new words and reading on my own but could really use informal, conversationa l practice. I would prefer another young person, such as a high school or college student or recent grad, who I can easily chat with. My vocabulary is still limited but hopefully will improve steadily. I am happy to do some kind of trade (I’m a private SAT/ACT/math/ science tutor), or take you out to lunch if you want.

I have done business in China for 6+ years, and i want to learn the language. I would be considered a beginner and I would prefer to focus on business context, speaking and listening. Reading and writing can come later. I need a teacher who understands that Americans are not conditioned for tonal language, and to simplify the process for learning.
