my name is Olga and I am 22 years old. I started learning Russian two years ago just because I like languages and I enjoy learning them and I would like to be a translator. I am strongly willing to learn Burmese and always have since I was 14 years old when m uncles parents came through from Yangon I learned only a tiny amount of the language from them and they inspired me to learn the language. I am a beginner to Burmese and I have to learn it as I have a partner from the country and he can't speak alot of English and we want to get married and start our future in 4 or 5 years time and I will not be able to understand him if I don't know the full Burmese language.
I will need to learn both areas of grammer and conversation so that I can communicate well enough with him or he would need to learn English. I am being tutored by his friend but he is only good at typing in English and can't do both and he is teaching me to type in Burmese but I can't write in Burmese or speak it very well o have to type in stences to make my partner understand he can't speak any English an only understands a very small amount of words.
Tim e in the tutoring sessions I am available on wednesday's and I live in the uk so time difference can be difficult to keep up with as Burma is currently 6 and a half hours infront of the uk and the tutor I would like to have very good qualities about them and not to be harsh when teaching in uk time I am available hopefully by 3:00 pm and onwards due to discussions that I have with my partner. So if possible
Wed nesdays at 3:00 pm in gmt time would be great and if there is a time that matches that that isn't too early or too late for someone to teach me the language of Burmese I will be more than happy

I would like to learn the Turkish language as i went on holiday for the first time to Turkey at the start of May and loved the place and the people. When i returned home i decided to book up again for June as i wanted to be back there asap. I have just arrived back in Scotland and have made the decision that i would like to move to Turkey for a while as i love it so much so would be great if i could learn a bit of the language.
I cant speak it at all so would need to start at beginner level.
I would like to cover as many areas as possible.
I would like to see how i got on at my first lesson before i decide how many hours a week i would like to do but i am very keen to learn.

I am a beginner, I currently have a Mandarin tutor but would I do have an interest in also learning Japanese, Korean, my native Gaelic, and Italian. I guess I've always been a person that wanted to be multi-lingual . There is nothing more rewarding than being able to have a conversation with someone in THEIR native language as opposed to hoping they know English or understanding your signings.
I'm hoping to do a lot of traveling to the east as well as go back to Italy as I loved it when I went there on holiday. The reason I'd like to learn Gaelic is that I feel its a real shame that Scotland's truly native language is dying out, so in some way, I'd like to keep it as a part of my heritage. I am a complete novice but when I'm passionate about something I put a lot of work into it and usually progress well.
I will dedicate any spare time I have to my lessons and find that since I'm a very big film buff, I watch a lot of chinese, japanese and korean movies and try to listen for phrases that are being learnt. All I want in a teacher is someone who is willing to be patient but also someone who is willing to push me (I do love a challenge!), but more than anything someone who can help me be as fluent as possible.
