My father is from Thailand, and although I was able to speak Thai at a young age, I am now unable to speak it. My father and his family have been speaking it around me since I was young, so I believe I could sufficiently learn how to pronunciate the words, but I only know a few words. I am willing to put a good amount of time into learning the language, particularly because I am interested in moving to Thailand temporarily in four to six year when i graduate from college. I want someone to teach me who is organized, and hardworking. I need to improve in every aspect of the language.

I am a lower intermediate (Level 3 by most schools) student of both al-fossha and al-aameya. I am a university student and I would like to continue learning Arabic during August and September in NYC. My family is Catalan, and so i have a basic awareness of the language and can understand more than i can speak it. I have little to know understanding of Catalan grammar, which is my biggest problem. I want a teacher who can start from the very basic level as far as grammar goes, but also consider that I am not a complete beginner because I have been around the language my whole life. I work from 9-5:30 monday through friday. Best for me would be an evening class once or twice a week. I would consider weekend classes if they are flexible.

I am a beginner at Swahili. I am looking to learn Swahili both because I am interested in the language and because I am looking to spend a semester abroad in Kenya during college. I need improvement in all areas, but grammar is probably what needs the most attention. I would like to dedicate one night a week or so to my lessons. I am looking for a teacher who has lived in a Swahili-speak ing country and spoken Swahili and who is knowledgeable , experienced, and patient.

Hello,
I am a beginner. I have no knowledge of the Tagalog language at all. I am Filipino American. My father was from Luzon. I want to learn the language because I wish to establish a stronger relationship with my family in the Philippines. I would like to learn verbs, proper sentence structure, grammer, and everyday conversation.
I have a full-time job in the evenings and my days off rotate every two weeks, therfore the only quality I ask in my teacher is that he or she be very flexible. However, I am available in the mornings of the summer months between June and August. Thankyou
