I would like to learn french - the basics up to knowing how to converse in it. Two reasons why I chose French. First because I find it a sexy language and I want to be able to understand words and phrases I read in novels, etc. Second reason is I am applying for immigration to Canada and want to be competitive in job hunting when I get there.

I am interested to learn French to help me with my future endeavors and to gain additional skill. I am a beginner, and feels the need to gain adept knowledge in all aspect, particularly in everyday communication .
I can dedicate as much as 40-50 hours to this language lesson and may take this during 6-9 pm at night as I am working during the day.
I am particularly keen to have an instructor who will motivate me and is very confident to teach the language. I hope to maximize the instructor's knowledge and proficiency.
