I looking to learn Spanish as a second language, for both business and personal reasons, I would consider myself to be at the beginners level. I'd like to learn Russian in preparation for travel to St. Petersburg. I'm interested in dance history and would like to visit the Maryinsky Theater and the Kirov Ballet School as an observer.
I'm a total beginner, and would like to take two lessons a month at first.
I would like to work with a teacher who is able to work with beginners and will focus on drill work and short skits rather than excessive grammar analysis.
If possible, I'd perfer someone interested in the arts as well.

My name is Lauren and I am a 25 year old female from Regina Saskatchewan. I graduated with honours from an Interior Decorating program at the Universal Career College in Saskatoon. I am currently employed at Benjamin Moore as a colour consultant.
There are a few reasons I would like to take part in a language course. My two year old niece has a disorder and communicates mainly through signing. It would mean a lot to her family and myself if I was able to interact with her on more of a personal level, rather than through others.
I am also interested in learning spanish simply because I would like to travel some day and I believe that knowing spanish would help me to better navigate my way around other countries. My partners bother-in-law is from Mexico and he often speaks spanish within his household. It would be nice to understand him and join into the conversation.
I have taken french in school up until my grade 11 year but have not had any other language training. I would be considered a beginner and I am more interested in learning how to speak the language and carry on conversations rather than learning how to write in spanish.
I was hoping to have weekly lessons-possi bly on Tuesday or Thursday evenings for an hour or two. I'm not sure as to how long a session should usually last for so whatever is recommended should be fine.
As for what I expect from this course, I don't have many expectations but I ask for patience if I struggle a bit. It is difficult to learn from someone who is frusterated with you. I hope to leave each lesson with a feeling of accomplishmen t and confidence in my progress. I am confident that the teachers within this program are well experienced and I look forward to hearing from them. Thank-you.

I have no clue about spanish language but i am really fluent in English and French.
I want to learn Spanish as i believe it is a language used in many countries by so many people so it will help me in my career one day or if not then in my personal communication with other Spanish speakers!
I am a beginner in Spanish so i believe i need to start in all areas of the language.
I think 4 hours per week will be sufficient
A teacher with a good spirit and has the talent of instructing the language in an interesting/i nteractive way.
