I would like to learn Bosnian/Serbo -croatian, because I would like to be able to travel to the former yugoslav countries and communicate with citizens there. I am absolute beginner, although I have extensive foreign language experience and am a quick learner. I would like to improve my skills in all aspects of language: grammar, vocabulary, conversation, etc. I am currently studying and finishing up my MA, but could dedicate a few hours a week to studying language. I am looking for a teacher who is qualified both in the language and is a good teacher. I appreciate teachers who are honest, challenging, but also patient.

I am a beginner in Urdu, having taken a year of once-a-week tutoring and also being exposed to Urdu speaking environments through my in-laws. I (used to) know the Urdu script (need a refresher) and know some basic greetings etc. I do have a rusty vocabulary of maybe 200+ words.
I am striving to become fluent in Urdu because it is my husband's native language, and that used by my in laws (both here and, of course, in Pakistan) as well as his friends. We are hoping to have a child, and plan to raise the child bi-lingually. I'd like to not be left out of those conversations , smile.
If it is possible to offer the lessons close to DC then two times a week would be great! If I need to travel to VA (I do not own a car, so am hoping things can be metro-able) maybe once a week (likely weekends) would work.
I prefer a teacher who is understanding of different learning styles and different levels of confidence in language learners. I am an interpreter myself, and so have some experience in the acquisition of a second language.

Hello,
My names is Silvia Gallo. I would like to study Italian in Italy. I would consider myself a beginner. I am of Italian decent. My father is from Calabria. I grew up in America and I am currently working on Italian citizenship. I would like to live in a small flat in Italy for a few months. I would like private lessons and when I feel comfortable I would like to participate in small group lessons. I am going to be in Europe this October and would like to start lessons by early November.
