I am a beginner. I wish to be able to converse with our daughter-in-l aw's parents who live in S. Korea. I need a good foundation in all aspects of the Korean language, and I am willing to spend 2-4 hours per week in class and at least one half hour per day in self-study. I am looking for a native Korean with teaching experience. I would like to be in a small class with other students for whom Korean is not their first language.

My ex is Thai and I want to learn the Thai language to speak with her, privately. I have not previously studied the language though I am eager to begin. I am willing to devote any time needed outside of my job.
I would like my instructor to understand the difficulties in learning a language that is so different from my native language of English. i.e. No Latin or Greek roots to rely on. I'm a fast learner and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to be able to converse with a native speaker.

- I want to learn korean because I plan on traveling there for a year and I want to be proficent in the language before I go. No one wants to be in a foreign country and not know what anyone is saying or what anything says. I would like to be able to communicate with the the people and learn their mannerisms/ho norifics.
- I know a few things like how to say my name and the diffrent greetings, formal and informal.
- I want to learn everything. Starting from the beginning. From learning to write and read Hangul as well as speak Korean.
- I will dedicate as much time as I can.
- I want a teacher who is fluent in the language. As well as someone who can teach me about the culture mannerisms and customs in modern day Korea.
