I am a beginner. I studied in Kenya in 2002 and had a one month intensive course, but most of that is lost now. I want to learn Swahili for fun and to keep in touch with my host family and friends back in Kenya. I also am thinking of traveling back there. I would like to meet once a week. I am a beginner student of Swahili. I have traveled extensively in East Africa, particularly Uganda and Tanzania, and would like to continue with the language I've picked up on those travels. I would like to begin with conversation, but will also need grammer and writing skills as I advance. I would like to spend between 2-3 hours a week in live lessons.
I would prefer a native speaker, but most importantly the teacher must be experienced in teaching Swahili to native English speakers and must be patient.
