I am basically a beginner, i really don't have much experience in hindi, however i am really interested in learning the language. I want to learn this language because i am soon to be marrying my fiance who is from india and though he speaks english and hindi, i would also like to learn the language hindi so that i cam better communicate with his family. My fiance is not able to sit down and teach me because both our lives are busy, however i do sometimes pick up few words now and then and understand only a little bit. I really don't know enough of the language to speak it, but i am really willing to take out some of my time and dedicate myself to learning this language, its is important for me and my fiance and his family. If i look for qualities in my lessons, it would be to learn as much conversations and also basics in hindi, basically everything. I am really hoping that if i get a teacher who can help me learn this language, this teacher can be willing to dedicate some time for me in learning this language and happy to help me.

Absolutely a beginner but am very eager to learn the Hindi and some day Punjabi languages.
I want to learn Hindi and Punjabi for two reasons. One I work in an environment where the quantitiy of Indian colleagues is increasing and the culture fascinates me. Two, I have met someone who is from Northern India and we are becoming fast friends. I would like to be able to communicate with him in Hindi (and eventually Punjabi).
At this point in time I am focusing on conversationa l learning only.
At least an hour a day - more on the weekends.
