My boyfriend and I are interested in learning German for fun. :) I have a level 1 background in the language and I want to have a refresher course and soon, advanced courses. I would advise though to start from in level 1 in listening, reading and writing German phrases and sentences.
We are willing to dedicate at least 1-3 hours every week. Preferably on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Maybe 10am? And hopefully we can have the class in the QC area.
Sinc e we are already working, it would be great to have a teacher who is also flexible with scheduling. We are kind of in a on-call kind of occupation. Hope he/she is patient with both us as well. It will be okay to have it in a classroom setting if needed. It's a bonus if the instructor is Filipino.

I am at a very basic level with my German speaking skills, and am learning because my partner of four years is from Austria and I feel it's very important to be able to converse with his friends and family. I definitely need help with grammar, and would really like to advance my german speaking skills to the next level. Our next trip back to Austria is next April, and I'm prepared to spend 30-60 minutes per day until then to get to the best level I can - hopefully one lesson a week and then practise daily. I'm looking for a friendly, relaxed teacher who uses a variety of different learning techniques (not all textbook), and would like to spend time on conversationa l german.
