I am going to Thailand in 6 weeks and I do not know one word of Thai! I would like to be able to convey very basic information for traveling and also make sure that I am polite.
I am an extreme beginner and do not know any other languages.
I am flexible about the time needed.

I am an adult wanting to learn to speak Thai because I am having a relationship with a Thai national.
I am very much a beginner and so need improvement across all areas of the language. Of course I am also interested in learning more about Thai culture and values although I have a basic understanding of this already. I have travelled to Thailand on many occasions for holiday, and have been communication with my Thai partner now for three months.
How much time I am able to dedicate to learning will depend on my work schedule (I have to travel quite a lot) but hope to devote not less than four to six hours per week, with two to four hours per week being in private lessons.
I am looking for a well qualified, experienced and patient teacher to provide private lessons in central Melbourne area.
