I have just returned from living in Normandy with my 2 year old son. He has picked up so much and I am also keen to learn more (I am still a beginner). I am looking for lessons, mainly for my son, yes he is young but he is talking quite alot and already understands a bit of french.

French-
I have no proficiency in French so I would be a total beginner. I would like to learn French because in the near future I plan to spend time in regions of Africa where French is widely spoken.
Urdu-
I am of Pakistani background but was born and raised in the west. I have a pretty good understanding of it and can speak limited and endevour to gain proficiency in it.
It terms of time dedication that depends on when the lessons commence but for the most part I would like to have regular lessons. In a teacher in am looking for lessons in person which can facilitate conversation rather than following electronic media.

* I have basic 'tourist level' Mandarin having attended two courses in Suzhou, PRC.
* I have spent (and totally enjoyed)16 months working in China and would like to learn Mandarin to basic conversationa l level to enhance my chances of returning.
* Conversationa l level.
* Probably 2 hours per week, but open to advice.
* Teacher to be aware of difficulty experienced by Australians in coming to terms with the Chinese tones, needs patience and a sense of humour.
8 Preferably a female teacher - classes likely to be held in my family home with one of my sons(21 year old law student) also attending. My wife and other son will usually be at home but not attending the class.
