I want to learn Japanese to be able to speak to my wife in her native language; and also to communicate with her family. Also I'd like to move to Japan someday and I feel learning the language is necessary for getting a decent job. My goal is to move to Japan in approximately 5-10 years, I realize anything can happen between now and then.
I'm willing to spend 5 hours a week learning japanese, also I'd practise more with my wife on a everyday basis.
Qua lities of lessons/teach ing I'm looking for: Classes in Denver would be good except I work crazy hours. I use the internet daily and online classes with video chat would be nice. I don't learn well with reading books; I need direction from a teacher and someone to motivate me. I learn well with flash cards, pc software, and workbooks.

I am an advanced beginner. I have taken spanish instruction classes thru Berlitz and have worked with spanish instruction CD Roms at home. I am looking to learn spanish as I'd like to go to the Dominican Republic to meet a few women I have started correspondenc e with via the internet.
Communication can be difficult at times so I'd like to be conversationa lly fluent in less than a year (if that is possible). Two of my friend have brought back spouses from the Dominican Republic and I think it might work for me also.
I need help in both grammer, conversation and all areas. I'd like a patient instructor with experience teaching the basic grammar and conversationa l spanish.
I 'd like an instructor located close to my home in Greenbelt, MD. I would be willing to pay for one-on-one instruction in my home or could come to a location convenient for the instructor. A Maryland location is preferred. Thanks!
