I will be staying in Zichron Yaakov from July 19 - 28th and am looking for a Hebrew tutor to work informally with me and my family (my wife, and our 4-year old son-- we also have a 1 year old but she's not going to be doing much Hebrew speaking!). My wife and I both studied in ulpanim over 10 years ago and we want to refresh our knowledge of conversationa l Hebrew. We are hoping to work with a tutor for about 5 sessions during that time for 1-2 hours at a time, and we are willing to drive 30 minutes or so if necessary. We would like the studying to be interactive, informal, and if possible, done in the context of other activities ( going to the park, the market, etc.)

I want to learn Modern Hebrew. I,m 73 years old, retired and would like to travel and maybe volunteer in Israel. Listening skills are very important. Processing incoming information like new sounds can be a real challenge for me; so I,m wanting an instructor who is patient, a native speaker, and understands that seniors (like 73 Yr. olds) learn a little slower--but can learn. I,m willing to invest time and effort to learn Hebrew. At least 2 hours/week instruction over Skype and 2-6 hours for homework/prac tice. My schedule is flexable and I,m very dependable in keeping appointments. I have been working on the Alef-Bet for several weeks. I'm having fun but there are many questions.
