Hello!
My name is Maggie Johnston, and I'm interested in learning Nepali. I work for an NGO that helps to support at-risk girls in Nepal by giving them scholarships to stay in school. I've been to Nepal twice, for a month each time in Winter 2011 and Winter 2012, and I think I have a beginning grasp of the language. Because I plan to regularly return to Nepal, I would like to work hard to improve my Nepali, particularly my basic grammer, vocabulary, and ability to converse.
I think I'm able to make a bi-monthly commitment to do video lessons (I have Skype). However, I am very open to whatever format my teacher would like to use. I'm looking for a teacher who is consistent, patient, and really loves language :).

Hi, I am travelling to Nepal for 2.5 months, leaving in May to do an internship with Rolwaling Excursions/Ex peditions. I would like to immerse myself in the Nepali language and culture. I do have a friend here, Chhiring Dorje Sherpa who can practice Nepali with me , but I would like to have Skype language lessons. I am currently studying Russian, Mandarin, German and Spanish.
