I was born in New Delhi but grew up in the U.S. While I understand much Punjabi as my parents spoke at home, I have had no formal training and hence find it difficult to speak and cannot read/write much. I would like to have a private tutor teach me the Punjabi language so that I can better understand and integrate into my root culture and religion from here in the U.S. My preference is to spend 2-4 hrs per week in my home with a one-on-one tutor, preferably on the weekends. But I would consider a small group setting in a nearby location.

I am a Sikh girl who speaks fluent English but has little knowledge of Punjabi. I would really like to read, write and speak Punjabi - hence why I am now looking to learn. Hello my name is Julie and I would love to learn this language because my boyfriend is from India and speaks punjabi and english. Now if he can learn my language I want to be able to learn his too. Iqbal is his name and he wants to be married to me one day, his family all agree and mine as well...now Iqbal's mother does not speak any english at all, so I really want to communiate with her...she is such a great loving person and I want to show her how much I love and respect her...we haven't seen her for about a year now, she had went back to india, but she will be here in canada this month and back at our house again..I can't wait. Anyways there is so many more reasons but I will talk about that later...pleas e help me out...Iqbal and his mother will be so happy!!

Hi, I'm just looking for more information on taking BEGINNER Punjabi lessons.
My husband is from Punjab province in Pakistan and I really want to learn his native language and use it when we travel abroad next winter!
Like I said I'm a beginner and I'm looking to learn conversationa l but would also like to have proper grammer.
Tim e for me is somewhat of a factor since I do work on a rotating basis...and is something that I would have to discus
