I have taken a year of college Russian, but was dissatisfied with fact that most of the students were native speakers. I wish to improve conversationa l skills -- comprehension , pronunciation , etc. -- but also learn more advanced reading comprehension . I am looking for a Russian language tutor who either has a degree in teaching Russian as a foreign language or some other pedadogical training -- i.e. someone who will know how to TEACH -- not just someone who knows how to read and speak properly. I live in Queens and would prefer someone from there. I am available weekday mornings, and sometimes afternoons -- rarely evenings.

My son has studied Latin for four years-from 7th grade to 10th grade. He is currently taking another year of Latin in 11th grade. The translations are difficult for him and I believe he would benefit from one-on-one tutoring at home. He would need someone approximately once a week for one hour. Hours are flexible.

I'm a Greek-America n who is trying to learn Greek in order to get more in touch with her roots and to be able to speak to family members! I speak a little Greek so far, but I'm probably a beginner. I would like to work at least a few days after school with a tutor in order to get more proficient, and I would also like a good amoutnof emphasis on conversation, as I can already read and write.
