I am planning to visit greece next year and would like to learn the language in a beginners course. I would be interested in having 2 or 3 lessons a week. I am eager to start as soon as possible, I recently enrolled in a community college greek beginners course, unfortunately it was cancelled due to lack of interest. I can't seem to find any other courses anywhere, so any help would be much appreciated.

I am an intermediate student. I have just come back from a year spent learning mandarin in Beijing and am interested in continuing with the language, partly for career advancement, partly for my own interest in communicating with others.
I should probably like to start lessons at twice a week, moving up to 3 or 4 as needed, probably for an hour and a half each time.
I am looking for a teacher who will be willing to speak Mandarin for the entire lesson, with no english at all. He/she must be a native speaker.

I haven't started yet on my journey to learn sinhala, so I need to start from zero......I speak, read and write english, because I have been living in Australia for a few years. So even if my native language is italian, I can have an english speaking teacher.
I am a volunteer, I share Bible's messagge with sri-lankan people, but at the moment I am not able to have conversation with them, I accompany friends of mine that are sri-lankan, but I have a desire to speak the language myself in order to have conversation with people...
I have no idea of how much time I should dedicate to learnig this language for a good outcome. So probably the best thing is to start and see how I'm doing. I am willing to dedicate as much as necessary.
I 'd love to learn to speak, and communicate with people, (knowing that writing and reading in sinhala are different than speaking). But if I could learn some grammar to help me read as well as speak I would not mind at all. Thank you, hopefully it won't cost me a fortune, but i have a strong desire to give it a good go!!!!
