I would like to learn Farsi and Arabic so that I can read the Qur'an and Hadiths and master Islamic prayer as well as have an ordinary life and the ability to have good conversations in Iran. I know only some very elementary Arabic. I need help with reading/writi ng, grammar, conversation and good memorization root/word lists. I would like start by devoting 2 hours per day to learning and studying as communication is very important. Qualities important in a teacher would be to understand my very logical and concise way of thinking and analyzing (mathematics/ engineering mindset) while realizing that I am strongest as a visual learner in order to find an efficient way for me to quickly learn the language.

My husband and I have two daughters, ages 7 and 9, who speak Persian fluently as their 'father-langu age'. My husband has taught them the basics of writing and reading Persian, but due to lack of time on his part, we are now looking for a professional, enthusiastic teacher, who is willing to teach our girls grammar, reading and conversation in an engaging way. We are flexible in terms of timing, but probably 2 times per week after school would be suitable, or one of the lessons on a weekend. We live in south west London (not far from Roehampton University). Our daughters are fun and bright, and for the right person they will be a pleasure to teach. We look forward to your contact.
