My mother's family was descended from Russia, however none of the culture was passed on to my generation. I would like to learn Russian to connect with a part of my heritage. I have no experience with the Russian language; I need instruction in all areas of the language. In terms of actual instruction I would like to take at least two classes a week; in terms of my free time I plan to spend a great deal of time practicing what I learn each week. What I'd like to gain from my lessons is access to Russian culture; I want to be able to travel to Russia and converse with the people there. In a teacher, I want someone who is experienced in teaching, highly educated in the Russian language, and is prepared to answer alot of questions because I tend to ask many during my learning process.

I have been visiting a lady in the Ukraine and I would like to be able to speak and read in her native language. She speaks English and Russian not Ukrainian. I am an Intermediate italian student. I need constant coversation which is difficult in Minneapolis, and need special help withconversat ional comprehension .
I live in Minneapolis, but travel for work quite often, not to mention travel to Italy. But when I am here, I'd like to be taking lessons.
For a teacher, the best for me is, naturally, a native-tongue speaker, but also one who speaks things italian:

I've been studying Japanese for several years now, but I will be spending a semester at Kyushu University next spring and I need to improve my skills dramatically before I leave. My classes will be in Japanese.
I took AP Japanese in high school, but I had a 2.5 year hiatus before restarting in college this past spring(we didn't have any advanced levels).
I definitely need to work on my conversation skills and remembering grammar structures that I learned before but have since forgotten.
I am home for the summer, but working during the day. I would love to dedicate at least 3 hours a week to lessons.
I'm looking for a teacher that can accommodate my half-forgotte n language skills and someone who can really push me to learn quickly and well. I also need someone who would be willing to help me learn architecture and urban design related terms, as that is what I will be studying in Japan.
