I am learning Thai as I used to live in Thailand and know some of the language basics and want to remember what I have learned and expand on it. I would love to go back to Thailand and want to be very good at communicating with Thai people. My knowledge is quite basic, bordering on intermediate. I can also read and write Thai and wish to expand on this as well as my speaking and listening. I have never had Thai lessons, but have learnt by being in Thailand and being surrounded by the language. I wish to learn for around 2 hours per week and think that I can quickly advance with a tutor's help. I would like a teacher who could help me with the general language, but who could also help me to understand more colloquial and slang terms so that I can better understand Thai film. magazines and tv.

I have had the opportunity to travel to Thailand several times. Most recently I was teaching ESL to kindergartene rs and pre-schoolers in Bangkok. I would love to be able to become a more effective teacher through understanding the Thai language better. I feel I need improvement in reading/writi ng and sentence structure. I would love to study often, but am afraid of the cost. Ideally, I would like to study two evenings a week for an hour. I need a teacher who is willing to answer lots of questions, as I am very eager to learn and understand. I love the Thai culture, language, people, and the country as a whole. I desire to be taught one on one..or in small group. I would love to have a teacher that is outgoing and who loves to teach! Thanks for your time!
