Dear prospective teacher,
I am interested in learning Pushto/Pashto , in particular, the dialect spoken in the southern area of Afghanistan (Khandahar and Helmand area). I am a complete beginner and am looking to learn basic conversation skills and to learn about Afghani culture (in particular customs of the Khandahar and Helmand areas).
As far as frequency of lessons, I am thinking three times a week, maybe thirty minutes per lesson by telephone/int ernet.
I am looking for a teacher than can help me learn proper, solid Pashto but also who can teach some common slang and street talk; in short, someone who can provide a well-rounded view of the language.
The ideal teacher is patient, makes learning enjoyable, and preferably has some teaching experience.

Hello, my name is Mark, I am a physician living in Dallas and I very interested in learning spanish. I have a strong desire to communicate with my patients; since I have a significant spanish-speak ing population in my practice. I also want to be able to communicate with my fiance's family who are largely spanish-speak ing only. I have been self-learning for the past year with tapes, books, etc... Now I am ready to take my learning to the next level. I am very serious about my learning and plan to commit 2-4 hours of instruction per week. I am a very analytical learner who prefers rules over root memorization, and when root memorization is/isn't needed I always prefer a lot of repetition. Thank you for your assistance.

I studied abroad for one semester in Rome, Italy where I took my first Italian language course. I fell in love with the Italian culture while over there. I want to continue to have this Italian experience in my life by continuing to learn the Italian language.
