The foreign language course is to be taken by our son, age-12. We would like to expose him to the Russian language and culture.
O ur son would be a beginner of the language.
Our son is interested in an introductory course to the Russian language.
Our son would be able to spend no more than 2 hours a week with lessons.

I just want to learn Hindi because many of my friends are Indian at university. I have studied Urdu now for about 1.5 years although I only have a basic level of understanding . I now want to focus on Hindi because there are more resources available for Hindi and I believe that I can always master Urdu at another time. I would like to study with a tutor once a week, I also have a friend that helps me at school (so outside help once a week is very reasonable to learn effectively). I would like to learn the script fast, as I find it to be confusing when letters are combined. I don't want the written language to become a barrier, but I want to continue at a regular pace, learning Hindi grammar and vocabulary as I master the script. I also have always wanted to visit India, one of my friends may go with me next summer after graduation (Im a senior finishing my BS in biochemistry & applied mathematics).

I am in the Foreign Service with the Department of State and will be posted to Sofia, Bulgaria as the press attache for my next assignment. Before arrival to Sofia I plan to take a two week trip to Varna to gain experience with Bulgarian. I currently study Bulgarian for 5 hours a day with a Bulgarian native speaker. I would like to take my two week immersion trip to Bulgaria in late July 2010.

I have always been interested in the language. Aware that Latin is a dying language along with Aramaic. Ability to speak another language would help with my career by making me a well-rounded individual, my proficiency level is beginner which will not dictate my work ethic towards learning the language. I would like to become proficient with Latin, the challenge would be finding someone who I could speak to regularly. A quality that I'm looking for in a teacher is patience and commitment to their student.
