I have just returned from living and working a year in Moshi, Tanzania. I gained proficiency in Swahili because I lived with a Tanzanian family and worked with a Tanzanian NGO focusing on women and children's rights. All my friends were Tanzanian young people. However, as soon as I returned to the states at the end of May, my Swahili has been deteriorating .
I am moving to the DC area in August and am looking for a very affordable way to continue to learn Swahili. I know most of the grammar rules, but I want lots of practice with native speaker(s). I hope to return to Tanzania in a few years to continue my human rights work there.

I am a beginner and I would like to learn Swahili, for myself or with my daughter and myself. I have a five year goal to move to Tanzania to live and teach.
