I am a beginner in the German language and am trying to get ahead this summer before taking college German courses this fall. I am serious regarding learning the German language because I am planning to focus on European history and need to become proficient in the language. This summer the lessons need to be reasonably intensive and I need someone who can teach me more formal German as I am not doing this for tourist purposes. I would very much like to start within the next couple of weeks. I have transportatio n so I can travel to the lessons although I would like to talk to the instructor about possible alternatives.

I have had German beginners lesson. I would like to have German lessons that will provide me with a Certifate of the knowledge of the German language, which i might be needing for me to get a German student's visa. I would like to further be able to converse and learn German grammar rules... i have work everyday, and can dedicate my evenings for language lessons.. about three times in a week/ an hour per session... i would like to have a teacher who has been in Germany, and can teach me the language in context with the German culture.

I have no idea about the German language.
I am planning to learn German for career advancement as my current job may require me to travel to Germany and interact at a technical level with Germans.
Conversatio n would be the area i would like to concentrate in the begining, and if time permits, i would like to go into further details.
I can dedicate my evenings/week ends for this purpose.
The teacher should be able to present the language in such a way that it generates interest in further learning the language, with also insight into the German culture. The classes should be open ended so that i can further carry forward the learning process to a higher level of proficiency by self learning.
