Description
I'm interested in learning Hindi for a couple reasons. I have family living in India and it would make it much easier to get around if I became fluent in Hindi. Additionally, I would like to learn Hindi for career advancement with the hopes that I could possibly live or travel often to India. I would say that my level is a beginner to intermediate. I've never learned Hindi formally and my family in India does not speak it but I have been exposed to the language since I was a toddler. I've also taken an interest in Hindi movies lately which has fooled many people into believing that I can actually speak Hindi since I seem to understand much of what they are saying. But alas Hindi movies alone won't do it so I would like to learn with an actual tutor. I would mostly like to learn to converse properly. Besides the correct pronunciation of the alphabet, reading is something I feel confident I can learn on my own since it is quite phonetic. I would like to meet 1-2 times a week for 1-2 hours. I'm looking for a teacher that can explain grammar well and is good at encouraging conversation. I've always taken to languages quite easily and I'm usually quite good with pronunciation but I tend to shy away from speaking if I cannot remember the grammar properly. So I will need a tutor who is friendly and not too intimidating. Additionally, to get the most out of the lessons I'd like to focus on conversation and would need a teacher that is comfortable with using transliterati on. I don't have too much of a preference for where we meet. My house or yours or a public place that meets in the middle. Since I'm just starting out professionall y I cannot afford to pay very much but I am very dedicated to learning Hindi and I'm a student that always honors her commitments. If you are interested please contact me with your rates and I'd be happy to try and make something work!

Description
Salam, I am a recent adherent to the religious practices of Sufi Islam. I would very much like to learn the language of the Qu'ran and the Prophet (saaws), as well as the language of the Persian Poets (Farsi). Middle Eastern Arabic would be my first choice above all other choices.
I have taught myself the Alif-baa, and have hung around enough mosques and masjids to have a good feel for the language, i am however looking for some one-on-one time or small group to move the next step in my understanding of the language.
Just like everyone i have a tight schedule but am very much willing to make many accomadations for someone who is willing to mentor me.
Thank you

Aloha no! Pehea 'oe? 'O Amy Chang ko'u inoa. Noho au i Huelo ma Maui. Makemake au i haku mele. Ua ha'awina au i 101-201 'olelo Hawaii aka...It has been 7 years! (I was born on the mainland and came to Hawaii when I was 16.) I am just trying to get back into it. I live 50 min from MCC and I have a long commute to work, so more driving isn't ideal. I sing and am writing some songs in English. I use to dance Hula Kahiko off and on for 12 years. Years ago composed a simple mele inoa that I chanted publicly. I am looking to write songs in Hawaiian. I have this one phrase right now for a chorus Love is living inside of all of us...Aia ke aloha i ola ma loko 'ia kakou 'apau....Polo lei? I really wanted to write Ke 'ola nei i ke aloha ma loko 'ia kakou 'apau. because it works with the melody better, but I think the grammer is wrong! Is there such a thing as poetic licensing in Hawaiian? And does this phrase work with Hawaiian thinking? These are what I need kokua with!
ONline tutoring is specific for my interests and time efficient. I may take 201 in the Fall, but I can't wait until then! So not being an official student, my few Hawaiian teacher/frien ds that 'olelo are too busy for my little questions! I would like to try for once a week for a month and take it from there. Would that still be $60? let me know! a me Aloha, Amy

Description
Salaam,
My name is Omar and I am 26 years-old living in Drexel Hill, PA. I have Arabic fundamentals and can speak, read, & write, but only at a basic level. My goal is to perfect my Egyptian colloquial speaking, as well as learn to read and write better. I’m not very interested in learning using traditional textbooks and homework exercises (repetition). I would like human interaction, accent refinement, and just general work on my vocabulary and grammar. Could you help me with this? If so, what are your rates and availability? I work during the days, but am free nights and weekends (I would prefer Sat or Sun mornings).
Thanks, Omar
