Iam a beginner. I donot know anything about mandarin. I want to learn it because it will help me in my career.Iam not working anywhere and i can dedicate couple of hours everyday to learn the language. I would like to learn to speak fluently and it would be useful if my teacher can also speak english in order to explain the grammer.I would like to how long it will take to learn the basics and then move to the next level. Are there any certification or competitive exams to pass.

I am a beginner,so basically i really don't have any background on chinese/manda rin language. I want to be able to speak chinese/manda rin language for the career that i am pursuing since i am into customer service. I want to learn how to speak and read and write this language. I am a fast learner so i want to learn as fast as i can but of course, this will also depend on the teaching techniques of the teacher. I want the teacher to be patient and of course he/she must proficient with he language he/she is teaching.
