I have been interested in learning Japanese since I was young. I like the language and the culture. I primarily want to learn it for myself, but if I am able to use it towards a career in the future that would be great too. My proficiency level is beginner. I have memorized just the Hiragana and Katakana so far. I would like to dedicate 2-3 days a week (or more) toward the language.

I was born in Iran and moved to the United States when I was 6. I can speak Farsi, but cannot read, or write, so I would like to learn as soon as possible.
I believe that once I can learn the alphabet, I can easilty read and from there learn to write. My biggest challenge will be learning the sounds. I would like to dedicate a couple sessions per week, until I learn to read and write fluently.
I would like a teacher who focuses on learning fast. I am a quick learner and a UD Davis college graduate. I learn from seeing and doing.
